This is Doc Supan. A sinner saved by grace. A full-time husband and a father. Sometimes a Medical Doctor. Most often a Nursing Review Professor. And now, an aspiring blogger.
I am also, as I see it, a practicing hypocrite. I know I lot of good things but don’t practice them or act them out. Sometimes I even act contrary to the good that I know. And so, if you’re looking for a role model, I am certainly not that kind of person.
But if you’re interested in looking for someone to follow, look to the one whom I cling in the moments of my sins, Jesus Christ, a man who lived around 2000 years ago. He claimed he was the Son of God, and He claimed he can save people from their sins, yes even their hypocrisy. I happen to believe His claim.
I believe Him because no matter what good thing I do, I know deep within me, I’m still so evil. I’m a hypocrite. The first step of healing from hypocrisy is knowing you are one, and repenting from it. I know, and I’ve taken the first unstable steps. Join me in my blog journeys…

People don’t see themselves as sinners because they use other people for comparison.
but if you use Jesus Christ (when He became a man ) and compare ourselves to HIM … don’t we find ourselves extremely dirty like filthy rugs?
that’s how GOD sees us … All our “GOOD WORKS” are just filthy rugs in HIS sight.

What local church are you member in?

I’m sorry I missed the line that you are attending Guiding Light Church. Is your church a fundamental christian church that stands for 1) the Bible as the Authority for faith and practice, interpreted in Biblical harmony and context, 2) Salvation by Grace thru faith in Christ alone, where repentance by a distinct holy lifestyle is evidence, different from worldliness, and 3) Jesus Christ is God & Man in hypostatic union, virgin born, substituted and atoned man’s sin by death by blood shedding, buried, resurrected, will return at Rapture, and 4) the Trinity where the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one in essence, but distinct in existence?
